As mentioned Bao in his blog, the 1st of August is the national fest of Switzerland. All around the white cross country people gather and chill out while launching their own fireworks. Even though their is no real organization on when and where to launch it, children will start during the afternoon, transforming their neighborhood into war grounds while clever people would wait until it gets completely dark (around 9 p.m.) and start their own asynchronous show. What a nice way to spend money…

 

 

 

Some rich cities actually do organize some small fireworks, which was not the case of Zürich as they already spent a lot for the Zürich fest. Nevertheless the mood was nice as we went by the lake and watched these little Chinese bombs explode.
